Barnacle Geese with young, Adventfjorden, Spitsbergen, 11 & 14.7.2008

A frequent nesting bird, those from here spend the winter on the Solway.

Photographs of some scarce or interesting bird taken since 2007 when a good quality long lens was first acquired. Cameras used: Canon 50D, earlier 400D; lens 100-400 mm, earlier lens 75-300 mm. Occasionally a Lumix FZ38 was used and (more rarely) some photographs were digiscoped.
